Selection Process


The recruitment involves a multi-tier examination followed by verification.

Tier-I: Objective Written Exam

- Online MCQ format.
- Duration: 60 minutes.
- Total Marks: 100.
- Subjects: General Awareness (40 marks), Quantitative Aptitude (20), Numerical/Analytical/Logical Ability & Reasoning (20), English Language (10), General Studies (10).
- Negative Marking: ¼ mark for each wrong answer.

Tier-II: Descriptive Test

- Offline, qualifying in nature (minimum 20/50 marks).
- Duration: 1 hour.
- Includes translation of a 500-word passage from local language to English and vice versa (40 marks).
- Spoken ability in local language (10 marks, assessed later).

Tier-III: Interview/Personality Test

- 50 marks.
- Assesses personality, communication skills, and suitability for intelligence work.

Final merit is based on Tier-I and Tier-III scores, subject to qualifying Tier-II. This is followed by document verification, character check, and medical exam.

Pay Scale and Salary
